Question: What is the durability/aging change of SERVOFLEX (metal sheet spring coupling)?
Answer: We conduct durability testing with torsion at a load exceeding the allowable torque. In these tests, SERVOFLEX has cleared 10 million cycles, the metal fatigue limit. As well, there is very little aging change because the product is entirely metal, enabling high-accuracy torque transmission for long periods.
Question: When the coupling is mounted, the driven shaft generates runout. What is the cause of this?
Answer: Driven shaft runout generated by the coupling is mainly caused by shaft reaction force due to insufficient centering. The SERVOFLEX series (metal sheet spring couplings) all use high-accuracy dedicated jigs in assembly, ensuring high concentricity in the left and right holes. Because the shaft reaction force is minimal, driven shaft runout can be kept equally low.
