Frequently asked question (FAQ)

Question: Do stainless steel casters rust?
Answer: The answer is yes. Generally, stainless steel products are often perceived to not rust, but since they are ferrous metal, corrosion does occur. However, stainless steel (designated as SUS) is less likely to rust than general steel (designated as SS). Therefore, it should pose no problem unless it is used in immersed in water or other extreme conditions.
Question: The stainless steel casters I am using is starting to rust…
Answer: It is possible that the bearing balls used for the swivel part and the axle part are not stainless steel, but general steel products. Therefore, the rust is transferred from those corroded parts. We have taken this into consideration; therefore all of our products are made of stainless steel.
