A cylinder with lock. Suitable for intermediate stops, emergency stops and drop prevention.
[Features]
· Uses the wedge effect to magnify the force applied to the taper ring and steel balls.
· Uses a brake shoe with superior wear resistance.
· The brake shoe length has been significantly increased (double that of the conventional model), providing outstanding durability and stable holding force.
· Structured so as not to be impacted by the quality of the lock-release air.
· The holding force is the same regardless of which direction the cylinder is locked.
· Manual override for unlocking.
· Format: non-lube type.
· Locking action: spring lock.

Spring lock (exhaust locking)

The spring force that acts on the taper ring is magnified by a wedge effect, and is conveyed to the numerous steel balls that are arranged in 2 rows. These act on the brake shoe holder and brake shoe, which locks the piston rod by tightening it using a large force.
Unlocking is accomplished when air pressure is supplied to the unlocking port. The release piston and taper ring oppose the spring force, moving to the right side, and the ball retainer strikes cover section. The braking force is released as the steel balls are moved away from the taper ring by the ball retainer.
