Water Hammer
(Example) The VXR2 Series helps greatly mitigate the severe water hammer effect generated by use of normal solenoid valves. This prevents vibrations and damage to piping, equipment and devices. The graph above shows an overview of how the water hammer effect is mitigated.
How to Read the Graph
When there is 30 m of SGP piping with the same diameter as the solenoid valve being used, the maximum pressure will be approximately 1.1 MPa with an initial pressure of 0.5 MPa. (4 to 7 MPa for general use solenoid.)
