Pail pumps are pumps used by inserting directly into a pail to transfer or divide liquid in the pail. A variety of liquids can be transferred, including oil, water, and chemicals; and a broad range of viscosities, from high to low, can be handled. They each have a dedicated pump such as those for fueling, those treated for acid resistance used for chemicals or foods, and those with high corrosion resistance, and they can be selected according to the application they are used for. Operation is manual or electric, and manual types transfer liquids by pressing the pump head.
