For example, soft knitted fabrics have good elasticity for wiping off the oil. Terrycloth fabrics have superior absorbency that makes them handy for wiping off large amounts of moisture. Plain fabrics are relatively inexpensive, thin, and easy to use for minute tasks. Cloth rags can also be classified by fabric color. White rags make it easy to spot the grime that has been wiped off, while dark colors help conceal it. Some cloth rags are made by washing used T-shirt scraps.
