Equipment generally has a heating range from room temperature to around 400°C, but there are also low-temperature hot plates that heat to around 80°C and high-temperature hot plates that heat to close to 600°C. Electric furnaces are equipment to melt or bake materials such as glass and metal. Many products have a heating temperature of up to about 1,200°C. Immersion type heaters heat by immersing directly in a liquid in a container. Heating ribbons are used by wrapping a ribbon-shaped heater on the object to be heated, and they heat or retain heat for pipes, tanks, and the like.
