There are 2 types, one with a predetermined length and thickness, and the other be used by cutting necessary amount. Typical applications are assembly and adjustment of automobile engines and internal combustion engines, adjustment of height and clearance when installing equipment, and many of them are characterized by excellent corrosion resistance. There are also products that can be used as shim tape by cutting a roll-shaped metal plate to an arbitrary length.
