Smooth Vent Valve (Supply Line) XVD2-02S, XVD2-02V

A smooth vent valve with an adjustable flow rate for both the initial and main air supplies.
[Features]
· An integrated valve and needle valve structure that requires on 1/4 the piping space of previous models.
· Uses a metal diaphragm for the seat section, greatly reducing the generation of particulate matter.
· Valve type: Normally closed (pressurize to open, spring seal).
Fluids: Nitrogen, air, inert gas.
· Operating temperature: 5 to 60°C (baking temperature, 150°C or less).
· Weight: 0.5 kg.

Setting Initial Air Supply Flow Rate

Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently turn the initial air supply lock screw (15) counterclockwise, loosening it until it stops. Continue to turn the initial air supply adjustment nut (4) clockwise. The location where the nameplate and the mark on the adjuster nut align and where you feel the rotational torque is where the minimum flow rate for the initial air supply is found. (Set by default when shipped to the minimum flow rate position. Note that tightening the initial air supply adjustment nut (4) any further than this position may prevent the fluid from flowing or damage internal parts. Structure/Operation)
After confirming the position of the initial air supply adjustment nut (4) and the angle alignment scale of the initial air supply scale plate (17), adjust the initial air supply amount by turning the nut counterclockwise. The initial air supply flow rate is set according to the rotation count and flow rate characteristics. After setting, lock by tightening the initial air supply lock screw (15) to a torque of 0.5 N·cm.

Setting Main Air Supply Flow Rate

Use a flat-slot screwdriver to gently loosen the main air supply lock screw (16) and also to confirm that the main air supply adjustment nut (5) is rotating freely. Continue turning the main air supply adjustment nut (5) clockwise. The point where it stops is the initial air supply setting amount. After confirming the position of the main air supply adjustment nut (5) and the angle alignment scale of the main air supply scale plate (18), adjust the main air supply amount by turning the nut counterclockwise. After setting, lock by tightening the main air supply lock screw (16) to a torque of 0.3 N·cm.

Initial Air Supply Feed

Gas supplied from the IN (1) port side pushes down the valve open/close piston (10) via the initial spring (11), sealing the diaphragm (7) and valve seat (6) and stopping the gas. Apply pilot force to the pilot port S (20). Pilot pressure fills the lower portion of the open/close piston (10) which then moves by a specified amount and stops. The movement of the open/close valve piston (10) separates the diaphragm (7) from the valve seat (6), allowing the gas to flow. The flowing gas passes through the gap between the poppet valve (8) and a poppet seat (9) (initial air supply setting amount) and flows to the OUT (2) port.

Main Air Supply Feed

With pilot pressure applied to the initial air supply valve pilot port (20), pilot pressure is applied to pilot port M (19). Pilot pressure fills the lower section of the poppet valve piston (12). The poppet valve piston (12) moves upward until it contacts the main air supply adjustment nut (5) and stops. The movement of the poppet valve piston (12) causes the connected poppet valve (8) to move further from the initial air supply adjustment position, allowing even more gas to flow to the OUT (2) port.

Stopping Initial and Main Air Supplies

Number of rotations and flow rate characteristics

Number of rotations and flow rate characteristics

The initial and main air supplies can be stopped at the same time. The force of the main spring (13) activated by the exhaust from pilot port S (20) causes the open/close valve piston (10) to move downward, closing the diaphragm (7) and valve seat (6), stopping the supply of gas. The force of the initial spring (11) activated by the exhaust from pilot port M (19) causes the poppet valve piston (12) to move downward and the initial air supply to revert to its previous setting position.
Note 1: The feed for the main air supply is carried out with the initial air supply valve pilot port S (19) in a pressurized state.
Note 2: Mechanically, increasing the initial air supply amount will decrease the main air supply range.

Notes

  • *The body and bellows material is SUS316L, while materials for the other parts that may come into contact with liquids are SUS304 and PCTFE. The sealing material is FKM. Check that the fluid in use will not damage the selected material.
  • *Use within the operating pressure range.
  • *Supply pressures in excess of 0.2 MPa (G) may cause leaks. When the supply side pressure is set using a regulator valve, take measures to address pressure rises caused by leakages from the regulator valve.
  • *When setting the initial air supply flow rate, do not tighten further than the minimum flow rate position. Damage and reduced displacement capabilities in the gas accumulation area (bellows chamber) will cause an increase in the time required to attain a vacuum in the vacuum chamber.
  • *In a high humidity environment, keep this product packaged until immediately prior to piping.
  • *Refer to the manufacturer's catalog for product information not detailed above.
